International Seed Shipping Policy
We ship seeds worldwide.
But here’s the deal: it’s on you to handle your local import laws. No phytosanitary certificates, no refunds if customs confiscates your seeds. This is how the big seed vendors roll, and we’re doing it too. Openly and honestly.
The Facts
- We Ship Anywhere: Hit that checkout button, and we’ll send your seeds to any destination. No country is off-limits. Your call!
- No Phytosanitary Certificates: We don’t provide them. The cost and logistics don’t make sense for small orders, and major players like Baker’s Creek skip them too.
- Your Responsibility: Every country has its own seed import rules (e.g., EU requires certificates, U.S. demands APHIS compliance). Research yours, register with your local ag authority, and get any needed permits. If you don’t, and customs seizes your seeds, that’s on you.
- No Refunds for Confiscation: If your seeds get nabbed at the border, we won’t refund you. It’s industry standard. Check the fine print at other seed sites.
Why We Do It This Way
This isn’t about dodging responsibility. It’s about keeping Pepper Guru viable. Phytosanitary certificates can cost $80–$200+ per lot, plus inspections, which kills profitability on boutique orders. Big vendors avoid this burden, passing it to you. We’re just being upfront about it, so you know the score before you buy.
What You Can Do
- Check Local Laws: Visit your national plant protection site (e.g., APHIS.usda.gov for the U.S.) or call your customs office.
- Declare Everything: Always declare seeds to avoid smuggling penalties, even if confiscation is likely.
- Plan Ahead: If your country’s strict (e.g., EU, Australia), consider local seed sources or work with an importer.
By ordering seeds from Pepper Guru, you acknowledge these risks and agree to our terms. Got questions? Hit us up at contact us, but we can only offer general guidance—your ag authority’s the expert.
Happy growing, and stay bold!
Pepper Guru isn’t liable for confiscated shipments. Policies may update with regulations.
